  • Will I need a referral to see Dr. Feller?
    If your insurance requires a referral from your primary care provider to go to specialists, you will need to have a current referral. If you are able to choose any physician, you will not need a referral.  back to top


  • Does Dr. Feller accept insurance?
    We accept most insurances and participate in many preferred plans. You will need to check with your individual program coverage.   back to top


  • Does Dr. Feller only do surgery?
    Dr. Feller will always try the most conservative methods intially. Many common conditions in the foot and ankle can be treated with simple non-surgical measures. Discussion regarding surgical options will occur if adequate relief of pain is not achieved. Whether or not to have surgery is always ulimately the patient's decision.  back to top


  • What are Dr. Feller's office hours?
    We are open Monday and Wednesday, 8am-5pm, Tuesday and Thursday, 8am-4pm and on Fridays 9am-1pm. Please call for specific appointment times.  back to top


  • What hospitals does Dr. Feller use?
    Dr. Feller uses all hospitals in the Tacoma area. Some insurances will prefer one hospital over the others and we will make sure that the surgery is done in an affiliated hospital.  back to top


  • Is Dr. Feller a board certified surgeon?
    Dr. Feller is certified by the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery and is a Fellow of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons.  back to top


  • Does Dr. Feller accept L&I patients?
    Unfortunately, Dr. Feller no longer will accept L&I patients.   back to top


  • Will you see DSHS patients?
    We will see patients with Group Health healthy options and patients with Medicare as their primary insurance and the DSHS as the secodnary insurance. We do not accept straight medical coupons.  back to top


  • Do you take credit cards?
    We accept Visa, Mastercard, American Express and Discover.  back to top


  • Will I need to pay for my office visit at the time of my appointment?
    If you have a co-pay, we require that this be paid at the time of your visit. Otherwise, we will bill your insurance first and once you receive a statement, you can then pay your balance.  back to top


  • Can I schedule and appointment and then get a referral from my doctor?
    You will actually need to have the printed referral in order to schedule your appointment.  back to top


  • Do you accept third party accidents?
    We will only accept these cases if payment is made at the time of service or a valid insurance is paying for the treatment. We cannot wait for a settlement with the insurance company to receive payment.  back to top
